President's Message

To the Citizens and Businesses of Southlake,
On behalf of the men and women of the Southlake Police Officers Association (SPOA), I want to extend my deepest gratitude for the unwavering support you show us every single day. Whether it’s a simple wave on patrol, a kind word at a local coffee shop, or your presence at community events, your encouragement is the fuel that keeps us going.
In Southlake, we are fortunate to serve a community that truly understands the value of a partnership between its police department and its residents. That bond is what makes our city one of the best places to live in Texas. Not to mention, one of the safest.
Our Current Focus: Supporting Those Who Serve
As President of the SPOA, my primary mission right now is internal: ensuring our officers feel as supported by their association as they do by their community. The profession of policing has never been more complex. To provide you with the elite level of service you expect, our officers need to know they have a solid foundation behind them. We are currently focusing on:
• Officer Wellness
• Professional Advocacy
• Internal Morale
When an officer feels supported and secure in their role, they are better equipped to serve you with the compassion, professionalism, and excellence that defines Southlake.
Looking Ahead:
We never take your trust for granted. We work to earn it every shift, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. By providing our officers with opportunities to decompress and connect with their families away from the stresses of the job, we build a more resilient force. Better morale leads to better service.
I am beyond thankful to the citizens and businesses whose donations make these opportunities possible.
Stay safe, Southlake.
Respectfully,
Brent Carlson
SPOA President
